The story of Magony Watches was born from a fusion of engineering precision and visual passion.
Our founder, Gergely Magony, is a certified mechatronics engineer who also worked as a graphic designer. For him, the world of watches represents the meeting point of two realms — the exactness of engineering and the freedom of creative expression.

Since childhood, design has played a central role in his life — the world of vehicles, architecture, and musical instruments have all served as inspiration. Eventually, he discovered watches as the medium where technical excellence and aesthetic realization meet in perfect harmony. From the very beginning, his goal was to create his own timepiece: he first experimented with dials, and step by step progressed toward crafting complete, unique watches.

His inspiration comes from the microbrand universe — international and local names such as Venezianico, Baltic, Evolvens, or Duna Óra — brands that prove timeless value can be born even from small workshops.

At Magony Watches, our philosophy lies in the details. The true strength of a microbrand is revealed through its aesthetics, storytelling, and design language — yet in our case, it always goes hand in hand with engineering sophistication. Our designs blend a vintage soul with modern ideas, resulting in timepieces that both honor tradition and offer a fresh perspective.

Our goal is to create collections that people genuinely appreciate and wear with joy. While an in-house movement may still be a distant dream, Magony Watches will always carry the ambition to create something lasting.
