The NH35 is a true workhorse. Reliable, robust, and well proven — it was the perfect choice for the Hexdial.
But with Praevia, the goal was clear from the start: to aim higher.
Rather than pushing the limits of the NH35, I wanted to build on a movement that naturally allows for slimmer proportions and a more refined overall feel.
2. The advantages of the Miyota 9015
The Miyota 9015 represents a clear step forward in several key areas:
- Slimmer profile, enabling a thinner, more elegant case
- Better accuracy potential with proper regulation
- More refined rotor feel, less aggressive and more controlled
- Improved date mechanism, with a quicker and more decisive changeover
These aren’t headline-grabbing specs, but in everyday use, they make a noticeable difference.

In the microbrand world, movement choice is a statement.
Today, saying that a watch is built on a Miyota 9-series movement immediately positions it within the market.
